If you are doing any planting this weekend, here is a tip for you:

Newspaper weeds away
Start by putting your plants into the soil and work the nutrients in.  Wet some newspaper and put layers around the plants overlapping as you go.  Then cover with mulch and forget about weeds. Weeds will get through some gardening plastic, but they will not get through wet newspapers.
